When to take progesterone?

I have been given 100mcg Utrogestan and instructions say take last 12 days of cycle. Issue is, I don't know where I am in my cycle as having roughly 2 periods a month. Any suggestions?

Also, do I start with the Evorel 75 straight away? Sorry, new to this.

If you're taking it for 12 days, you take 2 capsules on each of the 12 days- that's 200mgs a day (or 24 capsules in total.)

You can either start on the same day as the estrogen, or wait for 14 days and start then.

Whatever the date is, stick to that date in future.
So if you start today you will do the next 12 days from 23 october.
If you wait 14 days from now, (whatever date that is) you will start again on that same date in November.

The leaflet is based on women having a regular cycle, which most aren't.

GP ought to have explained.

@JinglingSpringbells thank you so much. So just to confirm, today is first day of another period, I can still take it now?

Thanks for your advice, I have never even taken contraceptives so no idea what I am doing with this. GP just sent a txt to say my prescription was ready. In fairness they were a trainee so had to speak with another to write the script.
