Please help me and my boobs

I haven't been well and have been on a strong course of antibiotics..

Now I now that antibiotics can mess with hrt. I wish I had known this before now.

I have such incredibly painful boobs now. When I say painful, I don't just mean tender, but so sore that I can't touch them. I thought a good bra might help but that is also not great due to touching my nips.

Any suggestions of how to relieve this a bit. I don't want to take anything else too extreme in case that bloody interacts too.

I've had a magnesium bath. I can't say this helped much.

Please hit me with any suggestions. Even pms was mild compared to this.

I'm not aware of anti Bs affecting HRT- is there some evidence you've found?

TBH if they are so sore, maybe you should see your GP?

Maybe you have mastitis or something connected to whatever infection you had.

I wasn't aware either @JinglingSpringbells but it's listed on Menoconnection to have possible interactions.

After Googling a bit more, a good few other Meno sites agree.

They don't however, make suggestions for soothing my poor boobs.

Menoconnection? Is it a medical site in the UK? Just googled and can't see it.

There's a lot of inaccurate stuff on some of these sites.

ABs can mess up your gut microbiome, severely. How that impacts on boob health, I don't know.
You should see your GP.

I am pretty sure it's due to an interaction of hormones as I have some spotting too now I see.

Of course I will see the GP if it doesn't clear. I've had mastistis after have one of my dc, I'm quite sure it isn't this.

I am taking a probiotic to try prevent stomach issues. Just didn't think to think ahead for the girls.

Antibiotics can cause breast pain according to a quick Google. Are you already taking pain killers? Maybe also take a multi vitamin as that can help with breast pain, although I don't know if that's still true when it's caused by antibiotics.

Maybe I've been hit with a double whammy.

I did stop taking my multivitamin when I started this course, this might be another contributing factor.

I'm on my last day today, so I might need to grin and bear it and hope it eases up.

I havent had a course of AB in years, not since being on HRT I'm sure. And due to the infection, I'm on two AB so a high dose. Didn't even think to ask if there could be an interaction.

I feel like there must be a new version of cabbage leaves these days.
