Hormonal acne

I will start by saying that I know others have far worse symptoms, but I’ve been perimenopausal for around 4 years, finally switched to the mirena coil in January and started oestrogel which has helped night sweats, awful heavy periods etc. I have however continued to have awful acne mainly on my chin, and poor skin is affecting my confidence, just doesn’t make me feel nice. Any tips for trying to get rid of it/avoid it. I use salycilic acid and acnecide to treat the deep spots and blemishes but my skin is overall fairly dry and dull. Have a healthy diet and exercise regularly. Thanks in advance.

For face acne and pimples, I drink lukewarm water with lemon and cucumber. The natural citric acid from lemon even out marks and blemishes. Also, lemon has vitamin C which is good for our immune system.

The hormone in Mirena can cause acne. Zinc supplements can be helpful but you may want to see GP if nothing else works.
