Psychological Impact of Menopause

Does anyone else suffer with the psychological affects of the menopause?

It is totally irrational I know. I don’t want more children although I have been very broody for years, but the loss of my fertility is devastating to me. It has made me incredibly sad.

I’m struggling with the physical effects , but I do know what you mean. I have all the kids I wanted, but I do understand that it can be devastating if you feel a sense of loss and haven’t fulfilled your dreams.

Just find it upsetting.

You are left with no answers.

Just months before the pandemic I was told it was older mums and parents ahoy!
Now I just think it dangerous not to tell the truth to someone or lead them to believe they can conceive.

How many women struggle with silent gynae problems - periods become irregular but are left with a disgusting doctors attitude in not picking this up, or taking it seriously ie. ovarian cysts can cause someone’s periods to go away but I’m unsure when I’ve ever heard a doctor take this seriously.

Perhaps our doctors and nurses want to start living with gynaecology conditions. Can’t we pass it on, why are they exempt from living like it.
