Body odour?!

So, is body odour something ELSE to add to my list?!!

It doesn't help that since Covid in 2021 my sense of smell is about 10% 😱

I never used to need deodorant. Now my impression is that even FRESH sweat smells! Oh, and now I sweat buckets just moving the salt pot a little to the left. And with exercise I sweat buckets!!!

Is this is thing?!! Is there anything I can do about it? Already on hrt.

Use unscented bar soap rather than shower gel. It makes a huge difference to the smell.

I'm definitely smellier. I find that after about 18 months my deodorant stops working and I have to switch. I have to scrub my armpits every morning🙄

I had this
Washing with soap and reapplying anti persipant 2 x day helped massively

I'm not menopausal yet but I went through a really smelly phase recently and bought a bar of Dettol soap. I used it every day for a week and I haven't smelt since, I think sometimes there's bacteria that needs something stronger to get rid of!

Thanks all. I'll try these. Bar soap seems to be the answer. Oddly I think I had an ancient bar of dettol soap languishing in a cupboard until recently.

The Covid lack of smell is a real pain too 🙄

It's safer to use unscented and if possible natural personal care products as scented products can exacerbate body odor. I have a smelly armpit particularly when I excessively sweat or don't take a bath for 2 days. I use unscented deo and put on some lemon juice on my arm pit 2 or 3 times a week and it works well.
