Why are you 'trying without HRT'? So much evidence out there that HRT is the answer to what you're experiencing

Some folk weigh up the pros and cons and opt not to take HRT. There is no right or wrong.

There is increasing evidence that HRT is highly beneficial for women. I found a holistic doctor specialising in menopause, had full blood tests and have taken HRT now for over a decade. Regular checkups.

It is however your personal choice. Finding a doctor who is knowledgeable on current research and understanding of menopause is not easy though.

You can try turmeric supplements (or in food daily) for the joint pain. That fixed mine. Seems to be a common menopause thing.

If I were you I'd go see a doctor and describe your symptoms. Not sure bruising should be dismissed as caused by the menopause only one year in.
I suffered palpitations and was told by so many it was probably the menopause... it wasn't... it was my heart. My menopause happened 6 years after...

Would make sure any symptoms are investigated, so much is blamed on the menopause, it is an easy hook to hang things on.

I am 52 also and really struggling with the menopause. Can I ask were the bruising is? My joints feel like I am 90 years old. Having serious issues with my feet - stress fracture, arthritis plantar itscing soles of the feet and tingling - I can barley walk
