Utrogestan daily - bleeding

I can't submit an enquiry to my GP as the service is at capacity so in the meantime before I get through I thought I'd ask this on here -

I am on estrogen and progesterone - I was taking utrogestan for 12 days a month- started while I still had periods- and when renewing my prescription I told my doctor I had stopped bleeding. They said I could go to daily progesterone but since then (3 months ago) I've had 3 bleeds which are just like periods.

Should I go back to the 2 tablets x 12 days a month? I'm assuming my periods haven't actually stopped so that's what I should be doing. I'm 51.

Same age. I changed to continuous hrt after four years on sequential. I take one tablet every evening and two pumps in the morning. It took about four months of on off bleeding for it to settle down. No bleed now but do have very occasional spotting. My moods are better and sleep good.

Go back to sequential.

Unless you are pretty sure that your periods have stopped for good (12 months with no natural period) you should stay on sequential. (Or you're over age 54 when 80% of women have no ovarian cycles.)

You don't say how long you've been on HRT but not having a bleed when on sequential isn't an indicator of being post menopausal. Some women miss a withdrawal bleed but that doesn't mean they are post-meno.

The bleeds on sequential aren't real periods which you'll know, so missing one doesn't indicate anything.
