Hair loss - problems using Regaine

I have thinning hair from menopause and about a year ago started using 2% Regaine. It was great - massive improvement to hair thickness, increase in growth over a year. I stopped it on holiday for just 5 days, a couple of months ago, and experienced terrible hair shedding. My hair is now far thinner than before I started Regaine.

My reaction was to start the 5% Regaine to start growing back my hair. It has only been 5 weeks. The shedding has now slowed down a lot but suddenly my hairs texture has changed to very dry and straw like.

Has anyone else experienced this, can you recommend who I seek advice from? A hair clinic, dermatologist? I don't want to stop or try to reduce the dose back to 2% without advice in case I start shedding hair again.

Check your iron levels. Your ferritin needs to be on 70 for 3 months before your hair starts growing normally. Just a thought. The cause of your hair thinning may not be due to the menopause.
