Heavy period nausea?

I’ve always had period cramps, but low down in the bottom of my tummy. The past couple of months though, it feels like the pain spreads right up to my ribs and I experience severe pain and nausea.

I’m struggling to sleep because I feel so unwell. It’s heavier than normal and the pain is worse, but the real problem is the nausea.

Is this a peri thing? I just turned 45. Still regular but very heavy and painful.

Sounds horrible. I don’t know it it’s normal but I’ve never had nausea like that despite having had horrendous periods. I’d go doc and get checked out
