cut the patch or take it off?

I've started HRT and I'm on my third Evorel 50 patch. I've been struggling a bit - headaches, feeling sick and a bit jittery or very sleepy! I obviously can't talk it through with the GP until next week so I'm wondering if I should just take it off and start on a lower dose next month. Or can I cut the patch in half? I've read it's fine and I've read it's risky. The leaflet makes no reference to cutting it

The HRT nurse told me they are fine to cut, although I found the cut edge irritated my skin a bit. I was dosing up & using up my supply.

I cut mine and was much better

thanks @CluelessAboutCars and @KatyMac I did cut it in half and I feel much less queasy today. Did you build up to a full patch over time?
