Shorter cycles at 44

Is this normal? I went from about 30 days to the last couple of months being 24 days.

Majorly depressing especially given I had pmt symptoms for a week leading up to current cycle. Am worried this isn't normal as none of my friendship group have talked about it and there's a few older than me.

Any advice/wisdom appreciated. Thanks!

In my experience, totally normal and the first sign of being in perimenopause. It started for me at 44.

Normal, firstly the cycles get shorter, then longer, then you start skipping months at a time.

I believe my last period was 12th May (don't think I actually had one the following month, even though I experienced pmt). I m guessing I m end stage peri. Which I am delighted about.

I m only 45 but this end stage could go on a year or two. I ve also started experiencing mild hot flushes, completely bearable at the moment.

If this is it for me, it's been completely manageable.

Thanks so much for answering. I feel reassured.

Turns out some of my friends have experienced the same - it's such a shock and difference for me I'm surprised nobody has actually raised it.

Need to buckle up for the (hopefully mild!) ride!
