Will I like my family again

im perimenopausal and am on HRT.

question for those who are through it - I am irritated by my family - will it go back to normal after? i used to spend a lot of time with them but now I am just so irritated. Me and my sister were close and used to spend so much time together and we had so much fun but now I find her annoying and sometimes I know it is for irrational reasons, I don’t want to spend time with people or talk about anything. Will I always feel like this now? I enjoy not caring but also don’t want to be this irritated

Yes.... then when they start to irritate you again increase your dose!

I'm the same op. I take HRT (patches) but not sure they are absorbing so having this checked. My tolerance for people has dropped enormously. I struggle to be the caring listener I was before. I've got a lot going on in my life and I don't want anyone else's concerns on top of them unless it is recipricol which I'm finding it largely isn't. I also can't tolerant any form of rudeness whereas before, I might have let it go over my head somewhat, now I notice it more. I too, prefer to spend more time on my own because I am very choosy about the company I keep.

Do you know what the issue is with your sister? Could you tell her what is happening for you?

Watching your thread with interest, just wanted to say, I feel the same.
