Is this peri? I started my period as expected last Saturday. On day 4 when I was expecting to stop my period it did seem to stop. Or so I thought, since then I've been spotting not enough to need a pad but I've had dark spotting. Tonight I've started feeling crampy. Is this to do with peri.
My last few cycles my periods have been heavier after being light ish for a while.

Most probably, if you’re in the right age bracket. Mine got heavier and more frequent, then i ended up with low ferritin, so I had a Mirena coil.

I've managed to get a GP appointment for this afternoon so hopefully will get some answers. I'm having bloods done on Wednesday so I'm going to ask if they will check my hormone levels too.

I'm quite crampy now 😕 the only other times I've had weird bleeding like this is when I've been on the mini pill.

Spoke to Dr and he said to watch and wait and this could be the start of things changing for me.

He Told me to take buscopan and ibuprofen for the cramps. He also made a follow up appointment for later this week if the spotting/bleeding/cramping hasn't subsided so I can be checked over. He also said to do a pregnancy test to rule that out. I've done one and it's negative.

I'm still cramping and losing very dark blood that's spotting. Earlier today I thought the flow was going to get heavier as there was some blood when I went to the loo. I'm wearing a pad but I don't really need one it's more like I need a panty liner.
