I am due to go on holiday for two weeks from next Saturday, as in in 9 days time. As things stand, I would finish my last progesterone patch on the Sunday after I arrive, and my period usually arrives 24 hours later.
I have previously used nothisterone to delay a period (before I was on HRT), so was thinking I could just carry on taking the evorel conti patches from another pack to delay it for two weeks? Are there any risks on doing this? My googling has been inconclusive.
The alternative would be to stop the conti patches a week early, and try and trigger an early period and get it out of the way before I go? But then I worry a week of progesterone won't be enough to start the period early?
My periods tend to be very heavy, and although it wouldn't be the end of the world, it is a much needed and anticipated break, so I'd really rather not deal with it while abroad and on the beach.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I would ask my doctor, but anything non urgent would take weeks to get an appointment for.
