Asthma / lung inflammation

I've been having some chest investigations and something which has come back is an inflammation test high on spirometry, now getting peak flow tests for asthma.

the balance site which the GP recommended mentioned that asthma can sometimes be linked to flare ups with hormonal changes such as menopause and can start for the first time then as well.

Just wondered if anyone else had anything similar. they are looking into some other lung things so might not be just that, or something different, but for quite a while I have also have sinus and throat inflammation.

Been on HRT about a year but it doesn't seem to have changed anything. Has shingles too which just seemed to somehow add to the problem.

I already have asthma but it definitely goes worse just before my period starts so it can be affected by hormones

Hmmm. Ive been on HRT for a few years now. I've recently had an awful cough and tight chest, which the gp said was the 100 day cough/ whooping cough. I had a chest x-ray which showed infection and had antibiotics. I've finished the meds now, but still feel like it could be asthma. Interesting that it might be hormonal.
