Chemist only has vaginal Utrogestan instead of the Utrogestan pills - is that ok?

I can't get through to the doctor to ask - I usually have the Utrogestan pills but the pharmacy has given me the Utrogestan Vaginal instead. The dose is fine as I'm taking 200mg every day (2x100mg pills) and the vaginal one is the same equivalent.

I assume as it does the same thing it will be fine - does anyone know?

That's slightly odd because I'd expect them to tell you it was not in stock but that they'd order and stock would be in by X day. (They can usually get an order within a day or two.)

Did you ask if they could get them for you? They ought to have checked with you and you should have queried it. Can you go back and ask, assuming you don't need to take them today.

It's really bad of the pharmacist TBH as any substitution should be okay'd with you.

It is exactly the same but it's twice as big. So the only issue is if you can swallow them ok.

thanks - I will give them a call today. Unfortunately I didn't collect the prescription so I'm not sure if they asked dp!

(I mean they didn't ask him - I'm not sure if they would have asked me had I been there! - but I'll give them a call and find out)

I thought they were the same ones? Are they round? Like balls?

If OP is going to return them she won't have opened them.

Yes, the content is the same but they are bigger and slightly more oval. You can google the images and see the difference.
