Evorel Sequi but post menopause

I was originally prescribed Evorel Conti, but due to still having periods I was swapped to Sequi.

I didn't use them, as I was told I had slightly high cholesterol and panicked that HRT would cause a heart attack or stroke.

I've been OK, except my mood was constantly low (I have bipolar, so mood is always fluid anyway, but this was worse and medications didn't help). I also suffered awful hot flushes, dry skin, no energy, etc.

My periods are one qbout every three to four months, but light and only last a day.

After someone on here said HRT helps cholesterol and protects against cardiovascular disease, I decided to use the Sequi patched I have.

The difference in how I feel is amazing.

I've got some more, but now I'm worried that I should be on Conti, as I last had a bleed in April, so for all I know they have stopped.

Is it sage to take Sequi even if you are post menopause?

HRT protects against heart disease. Your slightly high cholesterol was irrelevant although from a health perspective long term, it's best to try to reduce it.

Using sequi or conti is a choice.

I'm still on sequi 16 years post menopause. (This is through an excellent private consultant.)

Also, you're not post menopause still you've gone 12 months with no period.

Once you settle into the sequi regime, you should get a withdrawal bleed once a month but it's not a natural period.
