37 years ago … size 8, 24” waist: first DS 9lbs 5oz, forceps & rotation - traumatic. Second DS 10lbs 3.5oz, heart condition (so extra fluid) - I was HUGE. Caesarian, 6 months later emergency salpingectomy, tummy tuck 3 years later (on NHS!), scar revision for that 10 years ago and (around age 55) total hysterectomy. I’m now 60. Managed to fend off genetic apple shape with dance/aerobics/body combat over the years but each decade got tougher. Now (after hysterectomy) no high impact stuff, so doing yoga/pilates twice weekly, sometimes dance class too plus 20 mins exercise bike 3x per week; eating v healthily (minimal carbs, lots of veggies, pescatarian, v litttle booze) BUT … fat just piling on central area, back fat (though slimmish arms/legs). Pre-diabetic (have been in and out of this last decade - older DB & DM both Type 2). On HRT patches. Now size 16 (I’m 5’ 5”) - what the Hell do I do, has anyone had similar struggle? Anyone got advice? I’m at my wits’ end and feeling super down, and like an alien took over my body!
