Can you receive oral sex if you're using Estriol cream?

I've been prescribed Estriol cream to see if it will stop the vulval burning/soreness that I'm experiencing. At present I have to use it every day. I'm aware that I should not have sex for at least 12 hours after inserting the cream, but would a partner be able to tell that I'm using it, ie different look/smell/taste? I'm thinking particularly about oral sex - is that now a no go? I'm in a new relationship and would rather not have to disclose my embarrassing health problem if I don't have to.

I think the only answer to this is for your partner to tell you. Just tell him and ask.
Also, if you're close enough to be doing that, surely he knows you are in peri and using a treatment is no different to putting cream on your face- just a different area. It's not 'embarrassing' and if he's dating women in their 40s and above, isn't he going to be educated about their bodies?
