Can't sleep

Third night in a row...... get to sleep ok, but then about 1am, ping I'm awake for most of the rest of the night.
What can I take to help? I'm 42 but have no idea about periods as only get them irregularly due to mini pill so don't know if this is the start of peri?

Try taking magnesium before you go to bed. If you wake, have something to eat e.g. banana or yoghurt. I find both helpful. While you're lying awake, relive a pleasant memory in your mind, it will help you to relax.

Best for me is being strict about no naps/lie ins, shorter time total in bed, daylight alarm clock, morning walks, eating red meat and taking iron/magnesium, Chinese herbal treatment helped a bit but...here I am replying at 4.30 having been awake an hour and that was a good night. It just sucks really.

Thank you! I've ordered some supplements, hopefully they arrive quickly! Otherwise hopefully a weekend at a festival sufficiently exhausts me so my body has no choice but to sleep 😴
