Has anyone tried this with any success and if so which brand?

I am on HRT which has been great for most of my symptoms apart from the dry eyes.

They are quite expensive and I already take magnesium plus vitamins A & E so reluctant to splash out on more but the constant irritation with my eyes is starting to really get me down.

Tried the usual drops and heated eye mask but still have problems - any advice greatly appreciated.

Have you talked to an optician?

I don't know anything about SB other than some women seem to use it as some kind of lubricant rather than vaginal estrogen.

I'd get your eyes checked out first to be sure all's ok.

You might want to think about the Vit E. There has been some new research into fish oils and other forms of fatty supplements and they say they can be harmful to some people, and don't help heart disease risks.
Also Vit A is toxic in large amounts, it's not water soluble and can build up in the liver and if you're eating normally you shouldn't need extra.

A little old now but I use healrhspan it's really good and I would recommend. My
mum had sjorgrens (sp) and it helped her enormously with that as well. It really helps with dryness everywhere!!

When you say the usual drops, are you using lubricant drops every few hours all day every day?

Thanks all for the replies, have seen an optician and GP about my eyes but both say the same - Blepharitis and only way to control it is drops and correct cleansing of lids.

I never had it until a few years ago and I am convinced it’s menopause related so will give the sea buckthorn a try for a few months and see if it helps.

It worked for me. I wear contact lenses and they were super dry (can't wear glasses as I hate them and the dry eyes were so much worse without the contacts in).

I use hycosan drops (the purple bottle with the added anti irritant for hay-fever).

But the sea buckthorn was brilliant. Expensive though.

On top of my magnesium, vit D, zinc, vit c, iron, mint oil for digestion, anti histamines, etc etc. I rattle when I take it all!

Can you tell me which brand you use please?

So far Healthspan and Holland & Barrett been mentioned - yes they are very expensive, hence my reluctance to add anything else into my mix!

Have tried the Hycosan before but can’t remember which colour bottle - just bought eyedrops for over 50’s yesterday in Boots - the joys of getting older 🤣

Quick update - have been taking the Pharma-nord for a few weeks now (recommended dose 4 a day) and have bought the purple hycoscan and there’s been a huge improvement!

Not sure if it’s either one or a combination but very happy.

Now down to the regular dose of 2 a day - thanks again to all that replied X

@Back21970 are you still taking the pharma-nord? I’m about to order- wondered if you’ve continued to find it beneficial for your dry eyes?

Yes, and will be reordering as not many left, H&B usually have a decent sale after Christmas so I’ll stock up,

Have seen a definite improvement, so will be sticking with it.

Thanks again to everyone that replied X
