HRT patch under water

..simply comes off! I'm on holiday right now and submerged in water for a good chunk of the day. My patch peels off - not really surprising. What to do then? Have a few spares with me but not to change daily. Is it better to change as frequent as I can and have days without cover or not bother and stop for two weeks? I can't bear the thought of mood swings coming back, otherwise the aircon will take care of the hot flashes I hope:)

Change as frequently as you can. I would go to a pharmacy with your patch - ask if you can buy any replacements and if not ask if you can buy a dressing like tegaderm ( it’s a clear very thin filmy adhesive dressing that can be put over the patch) . Make sure your skin is completely dry before you apply a patch.

Advice:

Put the patch where it is covered by fabric/wetsuit but ideally not where it gets disturbed by you changing.

The patch does get very loose under water, and in my experience if it's just on skin will float off after 40 mins to an hour.

I tend to put mine upper thigh (I have boy leg pants in my swim suits) which helps keep it on.

I found bum (which was advised) gets too much fabric movement and tends to come off.

The patch will re-seal to your skin after getting out of the water if there is fabric to keep in place.

Can't comment about changing patch and missing days as still working that one out myself.

Thanks ladies. Cover up with another patch sounds good. I will
See what they have here but not hopeful as small island.
Will also try higher on bum, that's where it was originally but too close to the swimsuit line so will sacrifice another one today to try.
