Did oestrogel and utrogestan seem to make you put on weight?

I changed from the 1mg pill (sorry can't remember the brand name) to the gel and utrogestan about 3 years ago and since then I've done nothing but struggle with my weight. I feel really well on the combo, but struggle to lose weight despite eating a ridiculously healthy diet and keeping calories low. Just wondered if it was contributing as the weight gain directly correlates with the new HRT.

Personally, no, after being on it for 10 years and gel + Norethisterone before that, other than around about 3 lbs and I know that's down to food so I've no excuses.

You'll find lots of posters will come along and agree with you.

During menopause I suddenly put on lots of weight on HRT. I felt better but GP told me I had to come off it because my weight gain kept increasing. I came off it and weight stabilized. What I ate did not change.
