Breakthrough bleeding on HRT like a horror film extra

I’ve been on HRT combined Estradot 75 with progesterone without that many problems apart from heavy periods

This month I started bleeding the day before I started progesterone and it is carnage.

Heavy flows and large blood clots, I’m not sure if I should carry on with the progesterone or start the course again.

I’m also not sure if I should go to my GP if it’s a one off or leave it and see.

is it normal?

I would go and see your GP just to be sure it’s nothing to worry about

It might be Mirena would suit you better, I had very little bleeding on hrt. Get checked out.

With that dose of patch you should be using 200mgs Utrogestan daily, or 300mgs x 12 days a month IF you have heavy bleeding.
