Jaw pain

I'm 51,on the HRT for a couple of years post anxiety, mood swings, joint pain, brain fog etc. Helped a lot: the new thing seems to be I am holding all the tension in my jaw (not that atm there is actually proper stuff to be tense/ anxious about), probably grinding my teeth or clenching at night which is giving me headaches, jaw ache and sometimes it clicks and is super painful and I'm really tired. Has anyone had this?
I bought a mouth guard thing which is weird and horrid- the only thing that seems to help is ibuprofen. Any ideas? Doctor or dentist?

Yes I had every single joint pain including my jaw. My symptoms come and go I seem to be jaw ache free at the moment. My new symptom is tinnitus 😤

Dentist is best here but, preferably, one with TMJ experience. I have an NTI device as I couldn't have a mouthguard without retching
My symptoms were largely late perimenopause but whether it was related or coincidence I don't know

Yep had this too, it' was TMJ brought on by peri menopause - used to wake up with a clenched jaw feeling then got terrible toothache which radiated from back tooth to jaw and couldn't chew on one side. I did go to the dentist only because I thought I had toothache and imagined all sorts of painful dentistry 😄 After the dentist confirmed the cause, he said I could try a dentist mouth guard but that they were expensive so first off try a mouldable one (got mine off Amazon). It wasn't the best but I tried it for a few weeks, couldn't get through the night with it but it did seem to help get me out of the habit of clenching. I think if it reappears I would do the same.
