Normal temp flushes?

Can you have hot flushes without being hot? I know that makes no sense.
But I've started to get waves of feeling faint with my period since I turned late 40s. Very intense feeling. But I dont feel hot

Ive never flushed or shown any outwardly signs Im having a flush apart from nowadays I get a wee outbreak of sweat across the forehead

I worked with a woman who would turn near on purple and she would be tearing at her clothes to loosen them and get the fan at herself
