Can I still take my progesterone pill

Hello,

I'm on HRT take a progesterone pill every night as well as using Oestrogel. Annoyingly I miscalculated how much gel I had left and have run out. I've put in for a repeat prescription but it hadn't come through yet. Does anyone know if I can still take the progesterone pill without the gel or if I should wait until I have more gel?

I would continue with it, it won’t be long before you get your gel.

You should carry on with the Utrogestan.
Estrogen stays in your body for weeks (after stopping any type.)
If you stop Utrogestan, you may get some spotting.

Thank you for your replies. I'm already in the midst of a heavy menopausal period so spotting isn't a concern 😆
I'll keep taking the progesterone.

Your pharmacy will give you an emergency supply of oestrogel while you're waiting for the prescription to come through.
