Hi
I've been transferred from patches to progesterone tablets (gepretix) and two pumps of oesttrogel.
This is my fourth day and feel awful. Dull headache. Tired. Fuzzy head. I feel lethargic and 'heavy'. Started feeling rough yesterday. .
Anyone else had these symptoms or have a I caught a bug and blaming my poor HRT meds! lol
Thank you xx

How long have you been taking the oestrogen and has it always been gel?
Were the patches you were taking mixed oestrogen/ progesterone?

It's incredibly common.

You may find that your body gets used to this in time.
I'd suggest you complete the cycle if you're using it for 12 days a month.

You can also insert the capsules vaginally, which does reduce the effects considerably. At night, as high up as you can.
This is not on the leaflet but many women do it and many specialists suggest it. It's licensed for this almost everywhere else (Europe) but not the UK.

If you really don't get on with it, there are other forms of HRT that may work better for you.

@meemeemammy Hi I was on Conti patches for 18 months but my symptoms returned.

I also struggled with Gepretix, but I think for me it was because I needed more oestrogen to balance it out. My last course I took for 12 days out of 14, and with the increased oestrogen things were much better. I did bleed straight away for a day when I stopped the progesterone, but it's gone away now. I hope things settle for you. How are you today?
