Bit about me.

Im 42 three kids, been sterilised over 10 years ago and had endometrial ablation for heavy periods three years ago.

Periods have always been pretty regular and bleeding is light due to ablation. I suffer migraines around periods. But they getting worse, also no motivation bad anxiety (take meds for this already) fatigue I basically feel like I struggle to function some days anyway this month period just did not come im on day 59 of cycle no period. Have done a test just incase which is negative have I literally just gone thru the perimenopause straight into menopause? Only thing ive ever had is ovarian cyst which resolved?

GP will not do bloods until they examine me on 11 july at appointment. Has anyone had this before?

Is it normal?

I think a year of no periods is how they define menopause, not one missed period.

I am a couple of years older than you and last year I missed my period for around 70 days and then it returned and since then it’s been between 25 - 50 days each cycle so yes it is normal. I always expected as you reached menopause your period would just gradually get lighter and lighter until it stops but for me this is not how it’s happening.

Yes I also had this as well and was so sure it was starting but nothing happened.

It's not menopause until you go a year without periods but you do sound perimenopausal. I had similar symptoms at the same age (nearly 44 now) and had all manner of investigations because my dr thought I was too young for peri. I am now on a trial of HRT and it's dramatically improved my life. Talk to your dr OP.
