Help! I’m going bald!

I looked at my Ring Camera footage recently to see a little bald lady entering my house only to find out it was me. I am 57 and menopause has not been kind. From the front I look OK(ish) but from top there is a lot of pink scalp on show. I have tried Nioxin shampoo with no effect.

There is so much conflicting advice on the internet I don’t really know where to start.

Have any of you had any experience with The Wimpole Clinic in Harley Street? I am feeling very self conscious about it think this might be one of those things that you have to spend a bit of money on to sort.

I lost a lot of hair due to illness. I bought some hats as I thought I was going to lose it all.
I started using L'Occitane strength & volume shampoo. After 2 weeks I stopped losing handfuls a day. After 2 months I was seeing a little regrowth. It continued. After a year it had grown enough to go back to my hairdresser. My hair is now thick & healthy again.

I also take a super complex vitamin B supplement. The brand is Lindens on ebay.

I use minoxidil every night for hair loss and it works for me. It's the only licensed product for hair loss so I was happy to start it. I considered going to see a specialist but as the minoxidil started working I decided not to bother.

I saw a Tricologist for hair loss in my early 60's. Main advice - eat plenty of protein, get blood tests to check for iron levels, check for Coeliac too, that accounted for some hair loss. Minoxidil didn't work for me, very thin hair on top now, bought a hair topper which is fantastic, great hair in seconds.

I had awful stress and menopause hair loss, lost about a third of my hair, so thin on top. I took loads of supplements, tried everything, did grow back but I just couldn't afford it all long term. I now use Hair and Me, minoxidil prescription, and despite more hormone issues and recent awful stress, I've not experienced hair loss for once.

Regaine does work, it takes time, I'm 6 months in and have a new fringe growing underneath. My hair loss was at the front and centre.

Following this thread @Bilbettabloggin as could have written your post myself. Keen to hear about non-costly supplements and hair treatments that have helped!
