Headache after shopping HRT

Came off HRT suddenly 10 days ago...long and boring story.

More or less since then, have a dull ache all the time in the lower abdomen which becomes breathtaking stabbing pains every hour or two, and constipation, and, these last 2 days, an absolutely horrible headache (behind eyes) which won't shift with painkillers, drinking water or an espresso, or lying down (and no screens). Are any of these things related?

I haven't been able to sleep or rest and also quite a busy/stressful time at work so it seems as if everything is conspiring to make everything else worse.

what’s the long and boring story?

because if it helped you, why did you come off it?

Piggywaspushed · 22/06/2024 15:16

Have you had a bleed since stopping?

Piggywaspushed · 22/06/2024 15:18

Is the espresso for the constipation?? It sure won't help the headache! Try Busccopan.

Absurdly high levels of estrogen and progesterone so stopping HRT to see whether they go down.

Thank you. Where I am from (or maybe just in my family/friends circle ?), it's quite a common remedy to have an espresso to shift a headache. I didn't have one on purpose, but I had my usual one at lunchtime.

No ?

Maybe these are pre bleed cramps?

Meganmeccano · 22/06/2024 20:39

Sorry to be stupid but where would the blood come from ?

A withdrawal bleed. Sorry, I assumed you were still having them.

This might explain a few things about how you are feeling.
