Period merging into ovulation?

I will call the GP and try and get an appointment, but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome was. My period now sort of merges with ovulation since last month. So now the bleeding stops, but goes straight into bloody ovulation type mucus. Then after ovulation it all stops. I've googled and it says hormonal changes. My nipples are sore when they aren't normally so could make sense?

I'm 46 and no chance of pregnancy. Lots of peri symptoms for years.

I don't think this needs a dr's appt, to be honest.

It's classic peri when your hormones are all over the place.

Your GP won't be able to offer anything except tell you it's all normal at 46. Unless you want HRT to control other menopausal symptoms.

Thanks, that's great! I'm assuming it's just another crazy body thing at this age. I'll keep an eye on it. I don't need anything else to worry about!
