Do I need to tweak my dosage?

Am 46, nearly 47. Been on evorel sequi for about 18 months. It's worked really well at reducing my symptoms which were irregular periods, heavy periods, brain fog, insomnia, anxiety. However over the last 6 months had suffered with vaginal dryness.

GP prescribed the vaginal gel, use for 1 month daily then twice a week. After 2 weeks of continuous use I felt shocking. Really bloated and constipated and I put on 5lbs! So went to twice a week early. The bloating and constipation reduced. But I found I was going really dizzy and light headed 2 days after the dose, to the point I nearly fell over. So stopped.

However, my period was then over a week late. But it meant my period arrived when I think it should on the patches ie after I'd finished the progesterone patches rather than 10 days into the 14 days of them.

Now I've just got my period, about 10 days early, with one patch of progesterone left to use. So I think either oestrogen or progesterone is lower than it should be. And I think oestrogen as when I was taking the extra vaginally my period was when it should be.

I don't want to use the vaginal gel as I think the drop between doses is what makes me dizzy, and using daily has side effects as well.

Is it worth increasing from the 50mg patches to 75mg? Would do it but I put a very sticky stone on when I started patches and really can not afford any more weight gain that does not shift. And it does not shift no matter what I do. Am physically v active (horses), eat about 1400 cals a day, cut right down on alcohol and do IF most days, eating in a 7 hour window. 2 meals, rarely snack, eat healthy etc. I do on average 18k steps a day, probably 10k of which are lifting/carrying something heavy. Apart from my fat belly.

Just don't know what to ask for. GP usually willing to go with what I want.

I don't think the patches come in 75, I was told yo cut them in half, but didn't work

The oestrogen only patches come in 75s (I have those, plus utrogestan), but the combined patches do indeed only come in 50s and you are advised to use 1.5 to get the same effect. Hope you can get it sorted OP.
