I’m on 100mg hrt patches and have just been told that the new guidelines are to take more progesterone to keep womb lining thick enough etc. that means 300mg utrogestron rather than 20g for the second half of cycle! Horrid for those of us who are progesterone intolerant. Gp is switching me to a lower dosage of gel as she thinks that I may absorb it better anyway and I won’t need to up progestrone dose. Anyone else come across this recently? I hadn’t seen any posts anywhere on social media about it.

Are you intolerant to bio-identical progesterone as well as synthetic?

Droolylabradors · 18/06/2024 14:12

Yes. I had the coil fitted and kept my 100mcg patch.
It's been great.
