Im 46, perimenopausal and on everel/ mirena. I've been using Rosemary oil and scalp massager to try and stimulate growth but over the past few days ive washed my hair in the morning and it's greasy 2 hours later! It was a bit greasy.since starting peri but not this bad!
Any ideas/ solutions before I contact the GP?

My daughter is 23,definitely not in peri. She tried Rosemary Oil and it did make her very thick hair look oily. Serves her right for borrowing it from me lol. I'm in peri though.

Maybe you should try Biotin instead? I believe you can get shampoo with it in, tablets you swallow.

I think as you get older, hair grows slowly on your head and faster where you don't want it too ie chin, upper lip especially ☹️

For hair growth the caffeine type shampoos work well. There is one called Plantur which worked for me. It takes a few weeks/ months of use for new hair to come in.

You leave it on for 2 mins.

Biotin isn't proved to work. (I read a lot of science papers on it and there is no real evidence.)

You also need to make sure you eat enough protein every day and get enough iron.
