Out of sync - Evorel sequi - help!

worriedmummy1234 · 08/06/2024 09:16

I've messed up my patches - on third evorel 50 - next one due tomorrow- bleeding today. This is 4 weeks after last bleed but I wasn't expecting it - what should I do?

To complicate matters if at all possible I would like to stop bleeding by Wednesday but my bleed usually lasts 7 days,

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you are in everol sequi you are meant to have a bleed each month, how do you mean you are out of sync. You take 2 weeks of 50 then 2 weeks of combined patch called conti. You can usually expect a bleed after a couple of days starting the 50 x

Thanks very much for your reply. Before this box of patches I stupidly hadn't ordered any and ran out of- I then had a bleed which I assumed was because I had no patches on. That was 2 weeks ago. I have always had my bleed towards end of the conti not the 50 patches.

So now I'm bleeding again 2 weeks later after my 3rd 50.

It's light but I feel like I have fullness and pressure like the beginning of a period.

I would like to postpone it starting properly until Thursday/Friday - is that possible?

It's a bit confusing because you said in your first post that this bleed now is 4 weeks after the last one.

This is 4 weeks after last bleed but I wasn't expecting it - what should I do?

If your previous bleed was because you stopped the conti patches (and ran out) it may take a couple of cycles to get back into the normal timing.

Unfortunately, once you have started bleeding there is no way to delay it.

IF in future you wanted to delay a bleed slightly, you could use more conti patches (so longer than the usual 14 days.) Or carry on with the estrogen only for a day or two longer (before starting the conti patch.)

Sorry I meant 4 weeks after my normal cycle bleed.

The one 2 weeks ago I think was because I had stopped putting patches on.

I'm not sure I understand.

If it's 4 weeks after the normal one, that's right, as PP says.

But I've also had one in between - so had expected 4 weeks from the one 2 weeks ago.

If you have completed 28 days of patches, in the right sequence, you will have a bleed.

It doesn't matter when the previous early one was. A complete cycle will result in a withdrawal bleed.

@worriedmummy1234 Sorry not to be able to help but I don't understand the timeline of what you did.

When you said you ran out of patches, you didn't say how far through the month that was. Did you run out of patches halfway through a cycle? (If that's what you meant.)

Or did you have a gap between the end of that cycle (when you would have a bleed) and starting the new pack?

To get some advice, we need to know exactly how many patches you used before you ran out, if they were just the estrogen ones or the ones with estrogen +norethisterone.

And did you have days with no patches at all?

And if so, what did you start on - estrogen only?
