Only symptom seems to be poor sleep, what HRT

I'm thinking of going to see my GP as my sleep is so bad, I'm awake once an hour every night. Nearly 46 and my periods have gone from super regular to a bit more random, not really sure I have any other symptoms but I've heard HRT can help with sleep. Does anyone have any experience of this and how did HRT help? If it did? If it did what HRT did you have?

I had a Mirena coil before but continually had BV with it so had it out. The progesterone only pill made me feel like I was going crazy, so I'm not sure what to do.

Have you tried some magnesium? Could be a good start if you don’t get on with progesterone before you try HRT.

I have bought some. Perhaps I should give it more of a try

I’m in surgical menopause 🎉 following a hysterectomy and my sleep was bad before I started HRT. But I’d just wake up at 3sm every morning, not every hour.

I take magnesium before bed and sleep really well now. There are loads of different types of magnesium but I read Chelated Magnesium, aka Magnesium Bisclynate, is best for sleep.

Magnesium didn't work for me but the Utrogestan tablet does. It's has a mild sedative effect.

The only thing that's helped my sleep is magnesium. I take 2 at bedtime and that keeps me asleep. Hrt made no difference, one GP told me that was 'only' for hot flushes.

I've just ordered some more. Worth a try

it took 2-3 weeks for the magnesium supplement to have an effect on me. I sleep much better now and sweats have stopped
