Don't know if it's age/ menopause related but have recently seen friends partner who is a private dentist for quote to re do my crowns. He asked me how long my gums had been receding. I told him last 3 years or so. He told me I should've been referred to a periodontist as he wouldn't recommend doing anything to my teeth until that was under control. Also told me that it was only really seen in smokers/ previous smokers or people who had diabetes. I have never smoked. WWYD
