Evorel sequi, period question

I started on the Evorel sequi patches on day 7 on my cycle (I'm a regular 26-29 days), the doctor it would be fine to start with the Evorel 50s straight away. Loved those patches! The 2 weeks on the conti patches have been a bit rubbish... I'm moody, emotionally numb, getting random aches and pains, my anxiety is awful. I'm now on cycle day 33 and my boobs are heavy and I've been cramping on and off for over a week. AF feels close but there's no sign!
I'm 43 and wondering when does AF normally show up? One of the things I was counting on was the lessening of these symptoms - do they settle? I'm still having full on day sweating and at the moment I'm seeing no benefit whatsoever!
Sorry gor the negativity, but any advice would be appreciated.

I'm sorry it's been tough for you. If you have just started on them, you need to give at least 3 months for things to settle down and symptoms to lessen. My hot flushes went after a couple of weeks. Make sure you're taking them in the correct order in the packet (I hadn't realised there was an order and was pulling them out of the box randomly!)

my doctor also told me it was ok to start them straight away but on reading the leaflet in the box there was a timing given - i think it was the first patch at the start of your next period, then you should get a bleed shortly after finishing the 2 weeks of conti patches i.e. your cycle should stay roughly the same as it was. Although mine has been anywhere from 19 to 34 days in the year since i started the patches!
