So emotional

Been very up and down recently, recently it's low mood and constant being on the verge of tears.

I do have times being 'up' as well and really hoping it isn't the start of e.g. bipolar.

I'm 47, on HRT (50 patch, Ultrogestan progesterone 200 every 2 weeks) and I'm also on 40mg fluoxetine for recurring depression (up from 20mg last year)

I don't usually get that emotional on fluoxetine, it feels a bit weird. Anyone else going through similar? Wondering whether to ask about increasing the HRT but not sure.

Sorry to hear your struggling. I posted an extremely similar post to you earlier! Pretty much the same as you except I’m not on hrt yet. I’m really struggling to control my emotions-intolerance, anger, rage most of the month and then total breakdown just before my period. I’m exhausted with it.

AD's can often have an adverse effect during menopause/peri-menopause. That is why it's not recommended to be prescribed when Peri-menopausal/menopausal issues are at play.

If you haven't already, I would go to a private menopause clinic for guidance.
