Mirena and skin

I had the mirena from my GP three weeks ago. All ok apart from my skin has turned into an oil slick and although my skincare is pretty good I’m getting spots. I’m nearly 48 ffs! Has anyone else experienced this in their mid/late 40s? Did it settle down? I was nervous about having it as I had acne in my 20s (ended up with roaccutane in the end as nothing else really worked) but told myself (and GP assured me) that it shouldn’t be an issue now at my age.

Not the mirena , but I’m on the mini pill , which is a similar hormone, and I have a constantly spotty chin !

How long have you been on it and how old are you if you don’t mind me asking? Bloody hormones!

Just to update in case it’s useful for anyone else, my GP prescribed azaelic acid (Skinoren) and it’s definitely helped to reduce the oiliness 🙌
