Starting Evorel Sequi - wait for period or not?

Hello, I’d be grateful for anyone’s insight or experience. I have (finally) been prescribed Sequi for perimenopause. The Dr advised to begin when next period started. However, I’m currently 2 months without a period - day 65 according to my tracker.
The insomnia & hot flushes are getting unbearable- should I just start? Or wait a bit longer to see if a period turns up. I’ve missed a few over the last year, but never 2 in a row before.
I’m a bit nervous as previous GP gave me a combined patch (Conti) which turned me into a monster. I don’t want a double dose of PMT like symptoms.
Any suggestions?

Sorry you got no answers, just came on to search same question - I’m day 9 since start of last period. Instructions said start within 5 days, guess I had better wait. Hope you got on ok with yours xx

I just started, but hadn’t had a period for a couple of months. If you’re still fairly regular I guess it’s better to wait.
The patches stopped the insomnia & hot sweats. The first few days of progesterone were very difficult though - it made me very low. It does get better though.

Hi,looking to see if anyone else has experienced my perimenopause symptoms. I'm 51 and for the last 6 weeks iv been spotting or having a light period every day. I also had 5 days of a normal period as well ,so hoped that would be the end of it ,but no the spotting has just continued. I'm booked in for a smear test and I'm worried they won't be able to do it because of the spotting. Thanks for any advice on this .
