Long term spotting with Mirena anyone?

Hi,

I'm 47 and peri. On HRT nearly 3 years.

Has anyone here who is peri and on HRT had long term spotting issues with a Mirena? Did you resolve it? I'm still having problems after 18 months. I'm being advised to reduce patch dose to try resolve it but v reluctant to do this because my last attempt saw recurrence of MH symptoms so would rather explore other ways to resolve it first. Thanks 🙂

It never settled for me. In the end I had the Mirena removed after nearly 2 years (I had other unwanted side effects too to be fair). Switched to POP for contraception (Noriday) alongside the HRT & this is better for me.
