Progesterone only for symptoms?

I was reading this post from MenoClarity (who generally seem HRT sceptical - all about the lifetsyle innit) about progesterone alone being used as a treament for symptoms.https://menoclarity.com/perimenopause-is-second-puberty-and-is-temporary/

It was the "is temporary" that caught my eye as I'm already sick to the back teeth with it, and HRT made mine worse overall.

BUT I also suffered really bad PMS all my life and the injection then the implant reduced my symptoms massively, whereas combined pills of all types made it worse. Totally contrary to the RCOG guidelines and eventually the consulantant said I must be oestrogen intolerant (which I havent got round to researching but doesnt seem based in much).

Anyone else? I've kinda written off the author as a 'naturopath' so more interested in others expereinces.

Perimenopause Is Second Puberty and Is Temporary - MenoClarity

A look at what perimenopause actually is, and how it's a recalibration of hormonal and nervous systems that will end in time.

I did read that progestogen and testosterone are meant to drop in women before oestrogen does and some women might benefit from having these hormones replaced first. I also think oestrogen shifts are also easier to address through lifestyle changes than the other hormones.

Like most things I think an individualised approach is necessary and you need to take some time to test work works best for you.

Testing isn't exactly accommodated by doctors when it comes to women's health.
