Oestrogel how many pumps?

Hi, have been on gel and tablets for about a year, started on one pump, then upped to 2 and all going well. Over last 6 months I’ve gone down hill, mood is so low, so tired, no motivation and higher anxiety. Waking lots in night and getting night sweats. Is 3 pumps too many to go up to or do I need to change to patches or something else? Feel depressed but think it’s hormonal..

The highest licensed dose of Oestrogel is 4 pumps daily so you're on a fairly low dose at the moment. You could try 3 pumps and see how you feel or speak to your GP.

I had similar to you, 2 pumps great to start (approx 20 months) but last winter was awful with low mood, anxiety. Fortunate enough to speak with a knowledgeable GP and uped to 3 pumps in February and it has made a difference.

I upped mine to 3 pumps after feeling 2 wasn't enough and did see an improvement. I just mentioned it to GP when I needed a repeat prescription so I would be prescribed more oestrogel.

I've just started, been on one pump for a couple of months but I can feel my symptoms creeping back so thinking of increasing to 2. Does anyone know how it works? Why is one pump enough for sometime then needing to be increased? Is it because of naturally falling hormone levels?

Thanks all, have upped to 3 now, hopefully should help. I think it must be due to progressing in the menopause and falling hormone levels?
