Burning Mouth Syndrome

I've had, for a few weeks now, what I can only describe as a tongue that feels like it has been scalded. Almost like I have had a hot drink and drank it when it was too hot. Although I haven't scalded it and it hasn't subsided. I also have a strange taste in my mouth. It's just my tongue that feels like this. No white patches so I don't think it's thrush. Is it a symptom of menopause?

I am 52 and my periods stopped, abruptly, at 45. Had awful symptoms of anxiety, sex surge and hate being around lots of people now (shops, for example). Also led to the end of a 23 year marriage - my doing. I have had a tough time! Didn't really have hot flushes - went through a period of feeling hot from the neck upwards and being hot during the night but it didn't last long.

Now this with my tongue! Is there anything I can do? I'm not on HRT.

I've had it for 10 years...chemo induced menopause...it has times it is worse. Not found a cure as such but B12 can reduce it.
