Planning in advance here! I have to go into menopause via medication temporarily for 3 months
Wondering if there is anything people recommend to help with the side effects
I can't take HRT while I am on it

The problem with this is that if any herbal products really worked well, they'd be doing the same job as HRT.

Are you having injections? Zoladex or something like that?

You could try some of the OTC stuff for menopause but in all honesty there is very little real medical research showing anything works.

Black cohosh can help with flushes.
But it's hit and miss.

Yes likely to be injections, I haven't started them yet but will be on them for a min of 3 months

I do think soya really does help. There's a reason Japanese women generally have far fewer symptoms. But, most western women don't eat nearly enough to make a significant difference. I think Japanese women often eat massive quantities of tofu in a single meal. Apparently whole cooked soya beans have a helpful effect. Study described below -

Possibly worth a try anyway.

Study Shows Diet Causes 84% Drop in Troublesome Menopausal Symptoms—without Drugs

WASHINGTON—A new study, published by the North American Menopause Society in the journal Menopause, found a plant-based diet rich in soy reduces moderate-to-severe hot flashes by 84%, from nearly five per day to fewer than one per day.
