I'm 50. Had a Mirena coil for 7 years and been on Oestrogel for 4 years. Periods were light and I only had about 6-7 a year for the past several years, which suited me fine. I'd have occasional an one that went on for 2-3 weeks. But since Christmas I've had almost non-stop bleeding. Sometimes it's just spotting, other times it's like a proper period and I'm so sick of it. Is there anything I can do? Any point going to the GP? Or is this just the next crappy stage of menopause and I just have to wait it out?

I would ask your doctor for an appointment to gynae and say it is urgent due to constant bleeding. They will probably do a scan and may bring you back in for an ablation. I had this as so much heavy bleeding and was drained with the spotting, the flooding etc. Also changed hrt to continuous and after spotting with that for a few mths haven't had a bleed in a few months so it is great and also nothing was wrong down there. Worth seeing your gp and getting that gynae appt. Horrible all the stress we have to go through and hope you get it sorted.
