HRT newbie!

(I say newbie but I did try the patches a few years ago but didn't carry on for long)
Hi, I'm 49 and after months of anxiety, brain fog, insomnia, fatigue and lack of motivation I was put on HRT. I've been given Evorel Sequi and after a few days I literally felt like a new woman! My sleep hasn't improved much yet but the anxiety has lifted, my energy and motivation has been amazing and I just generally felt happy again! That's was until the day after I changed to the Conti patch which is the progesterone/oestrogen one. I've woken this morning with instant and awful anxiety 😩😩 I've always been sensitive to hormones and this happened when I tried them before. I am waiting for an appointment to have the Mirena fitted so I can just be on the oestrogen only patches! I'm just not sure whether to carry on or stop and wait for the coil. Any advice is welcome! Thanks ☺️

How long to the coil appointment?
try magnesium glycinate for sleep

Helenmelon74 · 19/04/2024 07:47

I'm waiting to hear so I'll give them a call today. I've been taking magnesium glycinate for weeks now, instead of 2 x 2 hours sleep with an hour awake inbetween I now have 4-4.5 hours uninterrupted sleep so they've helped in that way, just wish I could get a couple of hours extra sleep 😂

Spoken to GP and no date for coil just "hopefully it won't be long" and to see if the anxiety settles over the weekend and if not stop and start again after coil has been fitted ☹️
