HRT light?

Is there such a thing?
Im 44 - feel ok health wise during most of the month but periods now every 21 to 23 days and feel absolutely exhausted and awful; cramps, aches, headaches and brain fog - particularly on the day before and days 1 and 2. I really find parenting hard during this time.
I’ve always had a bit of PMS but the physical impacts seem so much worse recently. The period itself is only really heavy on Day 2 but the other stuff mean I struggle to function during 3-5 days of the month.
I was getting very anxious in the ten days before period but I have been taking a low dose of SSRIs which has been very helpful.
I have been thinking about whether I should start going for HRT but not sure if I really need it yet. Im also a bit worried about weight gain. I had been gaining on my tummy but have lost a lot of it with a v low carb diet made up of nuts, greek yoghurt, berries, meat, fish and veg and a bit of dairy.
Ive heard mixed things about HRT and weight - some saying it limits the menopausal tummy fat situation, others saying it makes it worse.
Is there such a thing as a lighter version of HRT that will give me a bit of a boost so the horrid part of the month is a bit easier?
